Martian Sun is a sci-fi/horror comics anthology.
Kim Jung-ho is a lifelong sci-fi writer,
and science fiction is a genre defined by the what-if question.
If ever you encounter Jung-ho in the wild, he may appear
confused, even lost, but in fact, he's only asking “What if?”
(If he appears to be asking “What if” in proximity to
dangerous objects or great heights, please gently intervene).
Martian Sun is the product of such speculation, brought
to life by artistic talent from all around the world.
The technology we're calling “AI”
for the time being has no place here nor in art itself.
It's theft -- of copyrighted work and water -- and is
being pushed by the worst, most out-of-touch people
imaginable. In fact, they've been imagined for centuries
of basic good-versus-evil storytelling. The same people
who've made layoffs a sound, prioritized business decision
have no business telling us what's best for our futures,
so when they -- or their weird online sycophants -- claim
that AI is inevitable, it's entirely self-serving and
based on limited information inside a bubble of bias
and yes-men. I look forward to the day I can remove
this text because we, as a society, have moved beyond
this shameful time.
